The Outer Banks Restaurant Association (OBRA) is bringing something special to the coast with its inaugural Shuck Yeah! An Outer Banks Oyster Affair, happening November 9–14, 2026. Whether you’re a lifelong oyster lover or simply looking for a reason to explore the local dining scene, Oyster Week is the perfect opportunity to experience the Outer Banks one delicious stop at a time.

A Week of Oysters, Local Flavor and Friendly Competition

During Shuck Yeah!, participating restaurants throughout the Outer Banks will feature their own signature oyster creations. From traditional coastal preparations to inventive chef-inspired dishes and creative oyster shooters, each restaurant will bring something unique to the table.

And here’s where the fun begins: diners get to help choose the winners!

Restaurants will compete for bragging rights in two categories:

Guests can visit participating restaurants, sample their featured creations, and cast their votes for their favorites throughout the event.
