Expert Negotiator. Strategic Planner. Data-Driven Research
Analyst. Marketing Innovator. Global Perspective.
A results-oriented, data-driven, and systematic approach to real
estate investment is the name of the game for Sandra Doherty Healy. When you
work with Sandra you get a real estate agent who harnesses the knowledge,
skills, and expertise acquired through a 25-year career spanning the private,
government/military, and non-profit sectors. Sandra cut her teeth in the
fast-paced world of high-end cosmetic sales in New York City, winning accolades
as a top sales performer for one of the largest global cosmetic conglomerates.
Hungry for a challenge and identifying a gap in the industry, Sandra joined
forces with a cadre of like-minded industry disruptors to establish a strategic
brand management firm that represented several iconic beauty companies earning
a reputation for marketing innovation and out-of-the-box thinking.
In the wake of September 11th, 2001 fueled by a desire to serve,
Sandra pivoted and parlayed her business acumen into a career in international
development, earning master’s degrees from the Georgetown University School of
Foreign Service and the City University of New York. She worked for an
international nonprofit agency specializing in humanitarian assistance,
directed a social science research program for the US Army Training and
Doctrine Command (TRADOC) in the US, Afghanistan, and Iraq, and served as an
exercise assessment analyst for US European Command (EUCOM) in Stuttgart,
Germany.
Sandra's ties to the Outer Banks run deep. Her husband, a
retired career Army officer and aviator, is a Tidewater native and has called
the Outer Banks a second home for decades. Sandra and her husband have owned
multiple investment properties in Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills. Most recently
they built their dream home in Duck- a contemporary home on the Currituck Sound
designed by award-winning architects Robby Johnston and Clark Titcomb of The
Raleigh Architecture Company. The home takes inspiration from the historic flat
top cottages of conservationist Frank Stick and the interior design pays homage
to the more than 60 countries that Sandra and her husband have had the rare
fortune of living in and traveling to.
Of all of her life accomplishments, Sandra is most proud to be the
mother of two sons: a Virginia Tech and VCU graduate who works in
advertising in Barcelona, Spain, and a junior at JMU who is in the Virginia
National Guard. When she is not negotiating real estate transactions, she
volunteers at the Sea Turtle Assistance and Rehabilitation (STAR) Center at the
NC Aquarium, serves on the Board of Directors of the Secotan Alliance- a
nonprofit dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of
the Native Americans of the Outer Banks, shares her love of golf as a
coordinator for the Duck Woods Country Club "Newbies" golf program,
and enjoys strolling the beach with her two French Bulldogs.
If you are ready to turn your Outer Banks real estate investment
dreams into reality, you can trust that Sandra will navigate the journey with
expertise, integrity, and dedication.
